Jewish Geriatric Services

Description of resource: Jewish Geriatric Services (JGS), in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, provides healthcare and related services to elders and their families, including long- and short-term nursing and rehabilitation care, home health care, adult day health care, assisted and independent living, physician services, Alzheimer’s care and case management services. Because we care for many people nearing the end of their lives, bereavement counseling, memorial programs and services and related programs through our Pastoral Care Department benefiting residents/clients and families, staff and volunteers are a critical component of our spiritual programming. As a complement to the great level of care provided by our Director of Pastoral Care and her department, we provide resources to these populations through programs and an extensive library.
