Description of resource: The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. We are a valued resource for those living with Alzheimer's or another dementia and their caregivers, offering information, education and support. Our professionally staffed 24/7 Helpline (1.800.272.3900) offers advice, local resources and information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year with translation services in more than 170 languages. We host face-to-face support groups and educational programs in communities statewide. Our programs and services for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers are always offered at no cost. The Association is the leading voice for Alzheimer's disease advocacy, fighting for critical Alzheimer's research, prevention and care initiatives at the state and federal level. As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to accelerating the global progress of new treatments, preventions and ultimately, a cure.
