Description of resource: The American Bladder Cancer Society’s function is to raise awareness of bladder cancer among the general public and the medical community, to advocate for the advance of research into a cure, treatment, early diagnosis and quality of life issues of survivors, to support bladder cancer survivors by providing community as well as by encouraging the concept of informed medical consumerism.

Through an expanded concept of online community the ABLCS will provide a safe, user intuitive environment for the bladder cancer community to interface, offering them the opportunity to network, find resources and form community. Using human factoring to give the inexperienced user ease of use in finding reliable information, while allowing the experienced user educational opportunities. The goal of all information provided by the ABLCS will be accuracy, perpetuated by encouragement of collaboration between survivors, caregivers, medical professional and their organizations.
