Description of resource: Joan Harris offers life planning services, including personal interviews and annual check-ins. After graduating from Boston College, Joan started her 33 year career in elder care as a Case Manager for a Massachusetts state funded Area Agency on Aging. This fundamental experience and training in case work and protective services ignited her lifelong passion for working to benefit the lives of older adults and their families.

Joan also has special interest in working with adults over 60 who have complex life issues, and clients who have Alzheimer’s disease and their care partners, providing coaching and strategies. Her experience as a Discharge Planner in a hospital, marketing sub-acute services in a skilled nursing facility and marketing retirement and assisted living communities all led to developing her knowledge and ability to help clients navigate systems. The past 10 years Joan has worked as an Aging Life Care Professional honing her practice to an advanced level.
