Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly

Description of resource: Since 1965, JCHE has been building and managing affordable, non-sectarian housing for independent seniors in the Greater Boston area. We are nationally recognized for the high quality of our communities and for the excellence of our resident services. JCHE provides safe and affordable independent housing where older adults of all backgrounds can age in community. Our programs and services enable residents to live a full life of connection and purpose in a dynamic and supportive environment.

JCHE’s housing is home to nearly 1,500 older people, the majority of whom are low-income. Ulin House, Leventhal House and Genesis House are located in Brighton, MA; Golda Meir House and Coleman House are in Newton, MA. A sixth building – Morton and Etta Shillman House on the Weinberg Campus in Framingham, MA.
