Description of resource: Elder Affairs directs services to approximately 41,000 elders through the state funded Home Care Program, administers social and nutrition services under the Older Americans Act and fulfills advocacy, planning and policy functions on behalf of the 1.1 million elders of the Commonwealth.

The Executive Office of Elder Affairs is responsible for the development and management of comprehensive community based programs that help to ensure the dignity and independence of elderly persons. Elder Affairs provides state and federally funded services to frail elders, the disabled and family caregivers.
