GVNA HealthCare, Inc

Description of resource: GVNA employs 188 employees and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. It is led by Elaine Fluet, RN, MSN and a team of highly accomplished senior managers. The mission of GVNA HealthCare, Inc. (formerly known as Gardner Visiting Nursing Association, Inc.) is to build healthy communities by delivering high quality health and social services, in a fiscally responsible manner, in the homes and neighborhoods of 49 cities and towns in Massachusetts. GVNA recognizes its obligation, in a rapidly evolving health care environment, to carry on continuous assessment of the health needs of the community, to plan strategies to meet defined needs, and to carry out and assess pertinent programs and their effectiveness. When the GVNA was established as a non-profit agency in 1906, its primary goal was to provide nursing care in patient homes. It has since evolved into a mainstay community health and social service agency in the region. The agency now provides Medicare certified Homecare, Hospice, Private Duty Services, Home Assisted Living- Group Adult Foster Care, Healthy Families and Adult Day Health Services. Our Adult Day Health Centers are located in Athol, Gardner, Fitchburg and Greenfield.
